Ford Ranger Accessories Guide: PX1 to Next Gen (2022+)

The Ford Ranger is one of the most popular utes in Australia, and one of the easiest to personalise. The catch is that parts are not shared across every generation, so the first step is knowing which Ranger you drive.

Which Ranger do you have?

  • PX1 (2011–2015): the first of the current shape.
  • PX2 (2015–2018): updated front end and headlights.
  • PX3 (2018–2022): facelift with a revised grille and bumper. Some trims have front parking sensors.
  • Next Gen (2022+): an all-new body. Most PX parts will not fit.

Your build plate or registration papers will show the build date if you are unsure.

Popular upgrades

Front grilles

A grille is the quickest way to change the look of a Ranger. Mesh grilles, Raptor-style and Wildtrak X-style designs are popular on PX2 and PX3, and some include LED daytime running lights. Check whether your trim has a front camera or sensors before ordering.

Fender flares

Flares add width and protect the paint from stone chips when you run wider wheels. On the PX3 and Next Gen, choose a kit with sensor holes if your ute has parking sensors in the bumper corners.

Bull bars and nudge bars

A bull bar protects the front end on country roads and gives you a mounting point for a winch and lights. A nudge bar is a lighter option for city driving.

Snorkels

A snorkel moves the air intake up to roof height, away from dust and water. It is one of the most common upgrades for touring. Read our snorkel guide to see if you need one.

Lighting and trims

Smoked and sequential LED tail lights, headlight trims and tail light trims give the Ranger a darker, more modern look for a small spend.
