N70 or N80?
- N70 (2005–2015): the previous generation, with a facelift in 2011.
- N80 (2015+): the current generation, updated in 2018 (including the Rogue and Rocco) and again in 2020–2021.
Parts are usually specific to one generation and sometimes to one facelift, so check the years on each listing.
Where to start
Protection: bull bars and bonnet protectors
A winch-compatible steel bull bar is the first upgrade for many Hilux owners who drive at night in the country. A clip-on bonnet protector is a cheap way to stop stone chips on the bonnet edge.
Looks: grilles and flares
Matte black TRD-style and mesh grilles suit both the N70 and N80. Fender flares, from slim to rugged styles, finish off the look and protect the guards.
Touring: snorkels and roof racks
Stainless steel and LLDPE snorkels raise the air intake for dusty tracks. An aluminium roof rack platform keeps camping gear out of the tray.
Lighting
Smoked and sequential LED tail lights and LED DRL headlights are popular upgrades on the N80. Check plugs and wiring for your exact model.
